Raise your hand if one of your guilty pleasures is Ice-Cream! One of my New Years Resolutions was to be healthier. I’m an ice-coffee, and carb junkie by nature, along with my large McDonald’s Coke, and other sweet treats (especially ice-cream). I switched over to my 90 calorie Califia ice-coffee, wheat pasta, and carb conscious tortillas. Little by little I have been finding healthier options to some of my not so healthy parts of my diet. When it comes to ice-cream… I’ve tried a few “healthy” ice-creams that are out there and well… insert gag face. Sorry but I have no desire what so ever to eat ice-cream that tastes like cardboard or vitamins.
Well, not too long ago Enlightened offered to send me a line of their pints. I sampled: Strawberry Cheesecake, Frozen Hot Cocoa, Birthday Cake, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Fudge Brownie, Red Velvet, and Caramel Oatmeal Cookie Crunch. (Birthday Cake definitely takes the cake for me!! It’s my favorite) All 100 calories or less per serving.. S C O R E! They are high in protein and fiber, and low in sugar and fat. It doesn’t get much better than that… oh wait it does… because it actually tastes A M A Z I N G. Plus, if your toddler likes it.. it’s a keeper 😉 This has the Giuliana stamp of approval.
Bottom line friends, it’s all about getting healthy, staying healthy, and still enjoying what you’re eating. If you hate what you are putting in your mouth you will not… WILL not stick to your healthy lifestyle. So trust me on this one, go get enlightened!
