2017 Goals.

Instead of making promises, or resolutions, I set realistic goals for myself. These goals are not “join the gym” “stop eating pizza” “give up all caffeine”.. you get the point I’m trying to make. I have most definitely said all of the above at one point or another in my life and NEVER, I repeat N E V E R, have ever followed through. That’s because without moderation, the above isn’t realistic, or possible for me. I cannot join the gym.. I mean when the heck would I go? It’s not possible… However, have you guys checked out Alexa Jean? Amazing! At home work out vids/plans that are phenom. for us mamas who just do not have the chance to go somewhere to work out. Bonus- she has a mega sale going on right now! GO check it out!!

Pizza… I can never just totally give up. It’s my favorite. To tell myself I can never have it is a complete joke. Same for tacos, panda express… you know, my go to foods! You have to be real with yourself. I am making healthier eating decisions with moderation. Instead of skipping breakfast, I have a slice of whole grain bread with avocado on top. Instead of snacking for lunch I have cottage cheese, fruit, and some rice cakes. Dinner, chicken breast, baked potatoes, whole wheat pasta… baby steps people… baby steps… I found a great list of 52 healthy meals, that are “easy” and take 12 mins or less to make! http://greatist.com/health/52-healthy-meals-12-minutes-or-less

and caffeine… um it’s kind of my lifeline.. who’s with me? I mean last night Colt was up at 1 am and 3:30.. I CANNOT function with out my caramel latte ladies. I am however limiting myself to 1, maybe 2 cups a day.. the rest of my day consists of water! Water, water, and more water.

After having Colt I haven’t been the most confident. Sure I’m “skinny” but I am not healthy. Healthy is my goal, Confidence is my goal.

So if you are like me, be real with yourself. Take small baby steps. Change little things one by one. More importantly change them because YOU want to, not for anyone else. Be the best you that you can possibly be. Whether that’s with or without coffee 😉
